We were thrilled to recently team up with Bec Henderson, Head of Customer Experience, at the fantastic Seppeltsfield Rd Distillers to create some Small Victories wine and gin cocktail recipes, just in time for the weather to warm up.

Why? Because sometimes it is fun to mix things up a little, and enjoy a cocktail with friends.

This cocktail is based off of the Aperol Negroni cocktail recipe. This cocktail is so simple to make, you’ll have a drink in hand in no time.

S.V. NEGRONI – A WINE AND GIN COCKTAIL RECIPE

Ingredients

Method

  • Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with fresh ice
  • Gently stir for 20 seconds
  • Fine strain into tumbler with large cube of fresh ice
  • Garnish with fresh orange rind twisted over drink
  • Enjoy!

WHERE TO FIND THE INGREDIENTS

The recipes we will be sharing for wine and gin cocktails will include ingredients that won’t be too hard to source – we don’t want to send you on a scavenger hunt!

You’ll be able to find Aperol at your local bottle shop.

Seppeltsfield Rd Distillers Shiraz Gin is available at the Distillery in the Barossa, if you feel like a visit. You can also order online at shop.seppeltsfieldroaddistillers.com.au/.

Our Small Victories Pinot Gris is available from our Barossa Cellar Door or order online.

SHARE YOUR COCKTAILS

If you make an S.V. Negroni at home, take a snap and tag us on Insta @smallvictorieswineco – we’d love to see your cocktail making small victories!

If you really want to impress your guests, you can try lighting the orange peel on fire. We tried, but it didn’t want to work for us (we’re blaming the breeze on the day), so we’d love to see your S.V. Negroni with flaming orange peel!

Cheers,
Jules and Bec
