You might have seen their names mentioned in our emails or on our social media posts previously, but we thought it was high time we properly introduced two wonderful ladies who work behind the scenes to help us bring Small Victories Wine Co to life!
Please meet Jess (on the left), who is our Digital Marketing Manager, and Karli (on the right), who is our Brand Manager.
You will see Karli and Jess at cellar door and out at events, as well as chatting to them on the phone or email if you have any queries.
Here’s a little bit more to introduce the ladies.
Karli Currie – Brand Manager
Karli has worked for the Ashmead family, with the Elderton brand, for over nine years, so we know her well. She was the first person we thought of to be Brand Manager for our new project when Small Victories Wine Co was dreamt up.
Karli and her family (husband Brad and sons Archer and Felix) love to spend time with their nearest and dearest. You’ll often see Karli cheering on the sidelines for her boys at all their sporting games, and she loves a morning weights work out at the gym.
Here’s a word or two from Karli, “I was stoked to be given the opportunity to jump feet first into helping bring Small Victories to life. I love everything about Small Victories Wine Co, especially the incredible feedback the wines receive when I’m showing them to customers. Whilst there are many aspects of managing a wine brand, at the end of the day if the wine is not great, neither are you. And customers love each of our wines, so that makes my job a whole lot easier!”
Karli on our Vermentino:
“The fact my best friends ask, ‘have you packed the Verm?’, when we go away together proves this wine is a hit! Fruity and versatile, sitting on the beach or even around the campfire, it is refreshing and delicious.”

Jess Ruciack – Digital Marketing Manager
Jess has worked for the Ashmead family for over 12 years and is Digital Marketing Manager for both family brands – Elderton and Small Victories Wine Co.
Jess and her family (husband Roo and kids Taylor and Jack) love to go camping and have a bit of a laugh with at-home dance parties. She plays netball and basketball and is heartily involved in her hometown community. With university studies in international business and wine marketing, Jess enjoys the variety and creativity that is involved in a marketing role.
Jess on our Sangiovese:
“I love that the Small Victories Sangiovese can be enjoyed throughout the year. Feel like a red wine on a hot summer day? Pop our Sangiovese in the fridge or esky and drink it chilled – delicious. It’s a lighter style red and is great with many different types of food.”
