We are super pleased to be teaming up with our friends from Barossa Valley Cheese Co to be a stop on the Barossa Cheese and Wine Trail!
We all know that cheese and wine are a famous pairing. And Jules’s favourite – her first answer when you ask about a wine and food pairing will always be a cheese, before she moves onto another food and wine match.
We love that this is your afternoon planned – no need to make decisions, you just follow the map and have a great time.
What to expect on the Barossa Cheese and Wine Trail
The first stop is the Barossa Valley Cheese Co Cheesecellar in Angaston where you will collect your hamper bag. The bag is filled with four artisan cheeses, a wine barrel cheese board, cheese knife, crackers and importantly, your map for the day.
The wineries on the trail offer great wines to pair with your cheeses. You’ll visit us here at Small Victories, along with Gibson Wines, The Willows Vineyard, Rosenvale Vineyards and Kaesler.
The wineries are all around the Nuriootpa / Light Pass area and are within a short driving distance from each other (or about 7km bike riding if you’re keen).
At each winery you will sit and experience a paired cheese and wine tasting. Each pairing has been considered by the cheesemaker, Victoria McClurg, so you can be sure the cheese and wine match will be delicious.
How to buy your Barossa Cheese and Wine Trail pack
If you know what day you’ll be in the Barossa Valley, you can pre-book your Barossa Cheese and Wine Trail pack online and then just pop into the Cheesecellar to collect.
Or if you’re more of the leave it to the day type, then the hamper bags are available to purchase at the Cheesecellar in Angaston on Wednesday – Monday from 10am.
The trail bag is $65 and can be shared between two to four people as the cheese servings are generous. Of course, if you have a Jules-level love for cheese and want to take home your own cheese board and knife then you might want to purchase more than one pack!

Interested in knowing what our cheese pairings are on the Trail?
We are pairing the Barossa Camembert with our Pinot Gris and a vintage cheddar with our Shiraz.
Both are delicious matches that we look forward to sharing with you!
Cheers to cheese and wine 🥂
